Shop Crane Design

This project focused on the design and analysis of a 1-ton shop crane. We studied standard crane designs, developed our own configuration, and conducted force analysis, stress calculations, and member sizing with safety factors, iterating multiple times to achieve an optimal design.

The project included technical drawings in AutoCAD and 3D modeling and assembly in SolidWorks, ensuring both structural integrity and practical feasibility. This hands-on experience enhanced my skills in mechanical design, structural analysis, and CAD workflows, bridging theoretical knowledge with real-world engineering practice.
